Briar’s Neutral Nursery

Apr 24, 2020

Behold, Briar’s nursery! I took these photos back in August of 2019, but never got to fully document them. I really don’t have any professional design experience (besides attending FIDM), which is the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles for those who aren’t familiar.

For how amateur I am, I feel pretty proud of my accomplishment. Of course, Kyle assisted. We went for a gender neutral design aesthetic. The goal was light and airy, easily adaptable color scheme and not to “themey.” I made that word up. I didn’t want everything elephants, or everything blue etc. etc. I would say we hit the nail on the head with a modern/mid-century junglesque vibe with a hint of farmhouse chic.

I have tagged some of the items I could find and if I couldn’t find the exact items, I have included close substitutes! Some items I’ve included in links below as well.

**TIP: If you like the design of a changing table, but don’t like the knobs – super easy to buy knobs at Home Depot or online and swap them out to spruce it up.
